What does GitHub Copilot cost per month?

How this estimate works
Seat prices are the vendor's list prices for monthly billing, checked 2026-10-31. Usage is not measured from your team: it comes from our simulation of an agent working a 5-point ticket, run 20,000 times per setup, priced at Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Haiku 5.5 API list prices. A month of many tasks averages out, so we use the average cost per task.
Treat it as an order of magnitude. Real bills depend on your codebase, prompts and tool. Method and sources.
